The steep elevation of the Arbutus Ridge neighbourhood allows for extraordinary views to the north, which were maximized here by giving the house a gradual curve. Meanwhile, that same elevation means the lot’s south side sits higher than the main house—so an elevator was incorporated, providing easy access to the garage. Decades after completion, the residence remains in prime condition, down to the distinctive red of its horizontal wood siding.
